Mill Woods Youth Federation The Mill Woods Youth Federation (MWYF) provides a key voice for local youth and influences youth-related projects within Mill Woods and The Meadows. (For more information visit www.MWYF.ca.) It has already been successful in organizing a number of dances and educational forums for youth. Its next project is the delivery of an information forum on the risks inherent to surfing the Web, and identity theft. This event, intended to run in mid January 2007, will be advertised in the next Newsletter. The Mill Woods Youth Federation meets, in Mill Woods, on the 3rd Sunday of every month to discuss current issues for youth and recommend solutions to these issues. MWYF members learn leadership, planning, and other valuable life skills. They have fun through their activities, and have opportunities to voice their concerns/interests regarding community activities or programs. One of the Federation’s major goals is to influence and shape the development of a Mill Woods Youth Centre.
