Community Events
Free Swim - Borden Park, Oliver and Mill Creek Outdoor City of Edmonton Pools. Your Community League membership can access Borden Park & Oliver on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays May 31 to August 30, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Mill Creek from 7:30 - 9:00 pm everyday of the week from May 16 - August 30, 2008.

Sports Van - Every Thursday - Come out and play - it's free and all equipment is provided including nets and goaltender equipment. Everyone and anyone are welcome! Bring your friends, they'll owe you.
Drop-In Street Hockey & Basketball for 11-17 yr. olds - June 30- August 18 at Larkspur Park
Dates: Tuesday July 7, 14, 21, 28, Time: 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Skateboard Lessons - Wanna stoke your skills? Drop-in for some free Learn to Sk8board sessions. Skateboards and helmets are provided, but feel free to bring your own. Lessons are for beginners; however, our trained staff can adapt the program for varying skill levels. Note: Lessons will be cancelled in the event of rain or standing water. Please call 496-2966 to confirm lessons during inclement weather. Cost: FREE!
Skateboarding Location: Larkspur Park - Dates: Monday Jun 29, July 6, 13 & 20, Times: 6:15 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Family Festival in the Meadows - Saturday, August 22, 2009, Times: Noon - 4:00 pm, Location: Silverberry Park, 2009/2010 Membership sales will be available.
Facilities
The Community is building a new playground in Silverberry. It will be built on June 12 to 15th, 2008. Grand Opening planned for Sept 6th, 2008. Coming soon: A new playground at Larkspur Park.

History
The Meadows Community League is currently the youngest League within
the Mill Woods Presidents’ Council. Established in 1987, the League
occupies the area south of the Whitemud Drive and east of 34th Street.
It is the only established League in the Meadows district that extends
east to Hwy. 14
Although outside of the district known as Mill Woods, The Meadows Community
League has joined the Mill Woods Presidents’ Council and has been
an integral part of the Mill Woods community, contributing often to
its issue resolution, programs, and resources.
